The Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off is a chance for an amazing group of people to come together to make a difference in the lives of children with cancer. In two short years, the Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off has raised nearly $1 Million for children and their families fighting cancer at Boston Children's Hospital. Listed below are some important details on fundraising.
Registration Fee:
When you sign-up for the Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off there is a $35 registration fee ($25 for participants age 12 or younger). The non-refundable Registration Fee covers the costs associated with processing your registration. The Registration Fee is not tax-deductible and does not count towards your fundraising minimum.
Fundraising Minimum:
All registered Buzzees are responsible for collecting the $300 fundraising minimum ($150 for children age 12 and younger) by Nov. 1st, 2013. The fundraising goal you choose when registering is NOT the amount you are responsible for raising. All Buzzees are only responsible for raising the $300 minimum.
Credit Card Policy:
The $300 fundraising minimum ($150 for children age 12 or younger) is due by November 1, 2013. After November 1, 2013, any balance due will be charged to the credit card submitted during registration.
Example: If a Buzzee has only raised $200 by November 1, 2013, the credit card that the Buzzee registered with will be charged the remaining $100.
Ways to Fundraise:
Ask people to support your promise to shave your head by making a donation in any of the following ways:
- Personal Fundraising Page: Encourage supporters to make credit card donations online using your personal fundraising page as this is the most efficient and cost-effective way to give.
- Check or Money Orders: All checks can be made payable to One Mission. If checks are accidentally made out to you, please endorse the back as "For Deposit Only Pay to the order of One Mission", and sign your name. Off-line donations will be reflected in your fundraising page total within 7-10 days of receipt. You should send your off-line donations in with a copy of your Pledge Form frequently.
